LaCas Consultants Inc., provided the river engineering design and construction supervision services for 7 river spur dikes on Fitzsimmons Creek at the 18th Fairway crossing of the Nicklaus North Golf Course. The purpose of the spur dikes is to reduce bank erosion damage to the golf course, narrow the channel to be in balance with the natural width/depth ratio of Fitzsimmons Creek, reduce bedload deposition and to provide fisheries enhancement.
