Quick's Bottom Wetland
Corporation of the District of Saanich (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002)
LaCas Consultants Inc., provided the preliminary hydrological studies, finger channel design and construction supervision services for the restoration for Quick's Bottom wetland, within the Colquitz Creek watershed. It has been determined from previous studies that Colquitz Creek and Quick's Bottom are functioning at risk due to anthropogenic activities within the entire watershed area of the stream/wetland system. The purpose of this cooperative riparian restoration work is to restore historical inflows and outflows from the wetland and to facilitate fish passage and fish and bird habitat enhancement as part of the holistic goal of attaining Proper Functioning Condition (PFC) of this lotic/lentic system.
